NBC Really, Really, Really Sucks!

Well, I guess we get to see all of the beach volleyball qualifiers broadcast live in their entirety, but no live coverage of the track & field opening rounds for us. That would make any sense, wouldn’t it? Making sense is not what NBC is about. You see, if they broadcast actual Olympic events live, then we wouldn’t get to see the following indispensible events:
1) Michael Phelps Athens replays,
2) shots of gymnasts applying powder to their hands,
3) that tall, deep-voiced lady (Mary Carrillo?) eating grilled scorpions in a Beijing marketplace,
4) Cris Collinsworth getting his knee squeezed by Mrs. Phelps,
5) the gymnastics officials talking on the phone…
If my feelings about NBC’s pathetic Olympic coverage are not obvious by now, here’s a bouquet of baby bibs that state my feelings:
