2009 ÅF Golden League Way Short On Distance
Thursday, December 18th, 2008
The 2009 ÅF Golden League Schedule has been announced and the distance events come up way short in comparison to years past.
The audience must have been yawning while IAAF President Lamine Diack tried to justify the lame mix of events, saying, "As usual, we have tried to ensure an interesting mix of events qualifying for the $1 Million ÅF Golden League Jackpot as this is the surest way to add interest to what is already shaping up to be an exciting 2009 season. We are all excited at the prospect of seeing the most charismatic stars of our sport in action on the ÅF Golden League stage."
